Through our Transport Manager Tim Howcroft, we are delighted to be sponsoring Kippax Templars Badminton Club.
Kippax Methodists badminton club was formed in 1953 and was one of the founding members of the Castleford & District Badminton League. Since a 2004 merger with another local successful club, Templars Badminton Club, Kippax Templars Badminton club has gone from strength to strength.
In 2014 the club won the division one league title for the first time in 34 years. This year, the 2016 season, again saw some great success. The A Team won the division one title, the B team came second & the Ladies’ team won the Leeds & District Badminton League Division one title. The club now has 3 mixed teams in the Castleford League; 2 mixed teams in the Leeds league; 1 ladies’ team in the Leeds league; 1 men’s team in the Leeds League and a mixed team in the second division of the Yorkshire league.
Samuel Grant Packaging are delighted to be one of the local businesses supporting the club, hoping that their involvement will raise awareness of the club, to increase club members and further engage local young people to get involved and maintain a club that has been around for 63 years.
