Marmax Recycled Products has had a hugely successful few months. As well as continuing to innovate new products and produce durable furniture, Marmax has also seen local, national and global award successes.
Closest to home, Marmax have been shortlisted for the Greener Business award at the Durham Environmental Awards. As well as this, Marmax were also shortlisted for the Made in the North-East Awards, and the team took home runner up in the ‘Making a Difference’ category at the North-East Employee of the Year Awards back in July. As Marmax are immensely proud to be based in the North East, and with many of the team living in the area, it is a huge achievement to have the hard work and dedication to manufacturing excellence be recognised in this way.
On a more individual level, Marmax’s very own Managing Director, Jackie Robshaw, has been shortlisted for both a ‘Women in STEM’ and the ‘Susan Dobson Flagship Award for Entrepreneurship’ at the WIN Awards 2017. This is a huge achievement for both Jackie herself and the whole team. Marmax are passionate about helping women excel in the STEM industries, so having the Managing Director acknowledged as helping to lead the way to a more equality-focused future, is something the entire Samuel Grant Group are proud of.
On a national scale, one of Marmax’s bestsellers, the Buddy Bench, was shortlisted for ‘Best Recycled Product of the Year’, at the National Recycling Awards, as well as the team’s dedication to both the company and the products being recognised with them being shortlisted for ‘Team of the Year’. The Buddy Bench also made it through to the final of the Plastics Industry Awards, being shortlisted for ‘Best Recycled Plastic Product of the Year’.
Most recently, it was announced that Marmax have won a Green Apple Award. This led to Marmax being put forward for a Green World Award, which they have also since won. The Green Organisation host the awards to find the greenest companies, councils and communities from across the world. Marmax competed against more than 500 other nominations for the award in Environmental Best Practice.
With the products being seen across the country more regularly and the addition of Marmax Netherlands, 2017 continues to be a great year for Marmax Recycled Products.
