Interest has grown in Marmax since becoming Green World Ambassadors for 2014 and winning a Green Apple Award for construction of an outdoor classroom, made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.
Jackie Robshaw, Manager at Marmax featured in the programme, broadcast on Monday 28th July; interviewed about the recent success and additionally reaching the finals of the Plastic Industry Awards, taking place in London later this year, for Best Product.
Jackie explained how delighted the Marmax team is with recent recognition of the Company’s achievements and also revealed plans for growth in the coming years.
Marmax has saved 10000 tonnes of plastic from landfill, instead, fully recycling the discarded items and constructing robust, maintenance-free outdoor furniture for schools, councils, recreation areas and parks throughout the UK.
Focus however was on the bespoke items which Marmax manufacture, based on customer feedback and special requests. Amongst these, a fishing platform and an elephant weighing platform, specially made for Whipsnade Zoo!
