We are closely following government advice which can be found here and also observing the government daily updates and updating policies where required:-
This means that we have implemented our homeworking plan where the majority of our office-based staff are now working from home but still have full access to our hosted computer systems and telephony.
Personal hygiene is also a priority for our employees. Government advice on handwashing has been communicated and is being adhered to. Hand sanitisers are also located around all sites and the staff who remain working on sites are practicing social distancing, keeping a minimum of 2 metres apart.
Our warehouses are well stocked and are continuing with deliveries both inbound and outbound as normal just with extra precautions being taken such as glove use and asking our supplier delivery drivers to remain in their cabs whilst onsite. However, at this time we are not seeking new customers so that we can continue to guarantee supplies to our loyal customers.
We have a diverse supply chain across many countries, and we are in close contact with our trusted suppliers to ensure continuity of supply over the next few months.
Experience shared via our Packsynergy European Packaging Network partners across Europe gives us a good insight into the epidemic’s progress and various government’s responses to it and we are confident that our supply chains are robust.
Any employee returning from international travel is being asked to self-isolate and not permitted onsite regardless of their destination.
We have robust business continuity plans in place and we continue to work together and communicate effectively as a management team to bring in any new necessary measures to ensure the business continues to operate effectively.
